Well, judging by the most popular question on the Net:
I'm 26/F/Nottingham.
Imagine, I've just told you my age, sex *and* my location! When people IM me, if that is their first question, I block them (as per a good idea from my good friend Shanelle.) It annoys me to no end for two reasons: A) It is in my profile and B) Can people be a little *less* creative?
There should be more than 150 interests allowed.
I graduated in May of 2003 from the University of Indianapolis with a degree in English and Theatre and a lot of science classes. I currently teach English at a secondary school about 20 miles away (I teach age 11-16).
I got married on June 6 2003 to ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) blackrat and moved from Indianapolis to England to be with him. So far we've lived happily ever after.
I LOVE reading, when I have time to.
I'm a member of the Generally G&S Society and have done two concerts and three shows with them. In this group, I've played Mad Margaret in Ruddigore, Fiametta in The Gondoliers and Iolanthe in Iolanthe. I've also done two pantomimes (a quintessentially British thing) and am playing Patricia in Crazy for You with another amateur operatic society.
I am the lead singer of an awesome metal band called Cathexis.
I have a twisted sense of humor and I repeatedly subject people to it. I used to not go to sleep until around 2:30 or 3am. My motto USED to be "Anyone who goes to bed on the same day they woke up is a quitter." But after moving, after four years of sleep deprivation, and with getting up every morning, I now go to bed around 11. I'm so boring.
People say I use the words "dude" and "all that jazz" too much. I sing karaoke on Friday nights in a local 'old man' pub.
I *love* meeting new people, so if you stop by my journal, say hi! Due to some unfortunate real-life complications, a lot of my posts (pretty much anything after late February of 2002) are friends-only. I hate that -- it seems so exclusive. So trust me, I'm not trying to exclude YOU -- I just got scared that one of my professors might have been reading my journal, plus mean anonymous comments kept popping up. And now, of course, I don't want my students reading my journal. Basically, I want to KNOW who is reading my journal. So either comment on an unprotected entry or add me and I promise I'll add you back, as long as you're not scary or stalkerish :-D.
